Description

Antique pine solid wood dresser base made around 1900 probably. It's a pot board unit: it never had doors; just an open shelf underneath for pots and pans etc. Often they had no sides, just legs, but this one has tongue and groove sides. Three drawers at the top with the original patterned cast iron cup handles (or the right age, if not). Once it would have had a top: the grooves in the top where it would've sat have been filled with wood at some point. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's good and solid; cosmetically there are various bumps, scrapes and marks etc, all in keeping with the age. Some darker marks inside where it was painted black for some silly reason. One bit of back board replaced. A little bit of old woodworm in the base which we've treated for good measure.
